On 28 August 2025, Frolgate Technology, in collaboration with Maxtec, successfully hosted an exclusive Fortinet Technology Seminar at the Monomotapa Hotel. The event brought together IT leaders, directors, and industry professionals eager to explore the latest innovations in cybersecurity and data protection.

The seminar placed a strong focus on FortiSASE (Secure Access Service Edge), showcasing how this solution is redefining secure access in a hybrid world. Speakers demonstrated how FortiSASE converges networking and security into a single cloud-delivered service, delivering simplified, secure, and optimized access to applications from anywhere. The discussion emphasized core components such as Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Secure Web Gateway (SWG), and SD-WAN, which together enable organisations to protect remote users, devices, and SaaS applications with a unified and scalable approach.

The second keynote explored FortiDLP (Data Loss Prevention) and the need for modern data strategies in today’s fast-evolving digital landscape. The presentation highlighted FortiDLP’s machine-learning and context-aware approach, which shifts data security from reactive, rule-based monitoring to proactive protection across endpoints and the cloud. It further reinforced the importance of strengthening compliance and visibility into sensitive data movement, ensuring organisations remain both protected and compliant.

The event was enriched by engaging sessions from Miguel De Freitas, Fallon Steyn, and insightful contributions from Benedict Mavodza. Attendees valued the opportunity to network, exchange knowledge, and explore practical solutions tailored to the evolving needs of modern enterprises.

Overall, the seminar reinforced Frolgate Technology Group’s commitment, in partnership with Maxtec and Fortinet, to delivering world-class cybersecurity solutions that empower Zimbabwean organisations to thrive securely in a digital-first world.
